Animal Testing in Industrial Park Reconsidered

Zoning Amendment for Industrial Park revisits question of Animal Testing Laboratories

Benicia's Planning Commission is scheduled to revisit zoning changes that could allow animal testing laboratories within the Benicia Industrial Park.  Similar changes considered two years ago, were met with public opposition.

As reported in the Vallejo Times Herald, a presentation on the possible zoning amendments is on the Commission's agenda for Thursday, July 12. According to the article, “City officials have been working on the proposed zoning amendments for two years.”

The report also stated that changes are being proposed to encourage an economic revitalization of the Industrial Park.
