Gary Jensen is Out as Principal at Benicia High School

Rumors are circulating that the new Principal is from a high school in Contra Costa County.

In a unanimous decision made in closed session the Trustees of the Benicia Unified School District voted to release Gary Jensen as Principal at Benicia High School and to offer him a teaching position.

The school board voted on the personnel action list later in the meeting.  One item on that list is Principal, Benicia High School, 100% FTE, Probationary.

After the board voted to approve the personnel action list Assistant Superintendant Michael Gardner announce that Damon Wright will be the next principal at Benicia High School.

Wright is currently an Assistant Principal at California High School in San Ramon.
