Mary Farmar Students Raise $2K for Relief Efforts in Japan

The Student Leadership Council presented the check to Gene Pedrotti, who is matching every donation.

The Leadership Council organized a for relief efforts in Japan. The council of third-, fourth- and fifth-graders decorated collection boxes and hosted the miracle minute, during which council members collected change from students in every class.

The heavy bags of coin were hauled to to be counted. The money included proceeds from a council bake sale. In the end, Mary Farmar students raised $2,000.

A check was presented to Gene Pedrotti of , who is  and matching donations. To date, Pedrotti Ace has raised $60,000 for the Red Cross relief effort in Japan.

To thank the council, Pedrotti is planning to treat the students to a pizza party.
