Police Log: Alarms, Neighbor Disputes and an Arrest Free Day

2:35 a.m.: A business alarm was accidentally activated on Teal.

4:08 a.m.: The guy who butt dialed a 911 call from Park Road called the dispatchers to let them know everything was ok.

7:19 a.m.: Officers investigating an alarm activation on Cambridge found the residence was secure.

7:27 a.m.: An error by an employee at a business on East Industrial led to an alarm activation.

7:30 a.m.: There was an open door at an empty house on East Fifth Street.  There is some speculation that the door was accidentally left unsecured by workers.

9:18 a.m.: There was a sighting of what appeared to be a coyote or a mountain lion in the greenbelt area near Corcoran.

9:23 a.m.: A homeowner on Mountview failed “Turning off the Alarm 101” leading to a police response.

10:06 a.m.: Police are unsure why an alarm at a residence on East H Street was triggered.

11:57 a.m.: The same goes for a house on McAllister.

12:29 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Baker.

2:07 p.m.: Officers provided advice to some neighbors on El Paseo who are having a hard time being neighborly.

3:07 p.m.: The handicap exhibited by the owner of a car parked in a handicap spot is the inability to either read or understand the meaning of Handicap.

6:04 p.m.: Officers documented a dispute between neighbors on La Cruz.

7:32 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on West D Street.

7:37 p.m.: There was an inexplicable alarm activation at a secure building on First Street.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
