Police Log: Father/Daughter Dispute, Women Arguing and a Possible Mountain Lion Sighting

8:27 a.m.: A car reportedly parked in a fire lane on West K Street was gone when officers arrived.

9:03 a.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Southampton Road.

11:01 a.m.: There are no suspects in the vandalism of vehicles parked on Bayshore Road.

12:14 p.m.: A resident on Oxford reported seeing an animal that may have been a mountain lion.  Officers notified animal control.

12:32 p.m.: There was an alarm malfunction on Larkin.

1:54 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a case of fraud against a merchant in Solano Square.

7:25 p.m.: A resident on Southampton reported excessive noise coming from a neighbor’s home.  When officers arrived the noise had dissipated.

10:19 p.m.: Two women who had been drinking were also having a verbal altercation.  One of the women had left for the evening when officers arrived and the other was heading to bed.

11:24 p.m.: A woman reported her father was threatening her regarding a trip she was taking.  The father admitted to officers he was upset about the trip.  The drama played out on Viewmont.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
