'The Foggiest Idea' Returns to Benicia

Susi Cramer reopens her eclectic gift wares shop for the third time in an all-new location.

Susi Cramer is hoping the third time will be the charm for her retail gift business, The Foggiest Idea.

The business has come and gone from Benicia since as far back as 2002 when Cramer opened the store in its original location inside the Tannery Building.

That store closed in 2008 and later reopened that same year at 917 First Street where it remained till 2011.

"We closed our previous location because our lease expired, and my husband and I decided to just kick back and enjoy retirement," Cramer said. "When my husband passed away last July, I felt the time was right to reopen and liquidate my inventory and also to rejoin the local community."

Now in her new location at 800 First Street, suite C, Cramer is happy to be offering an assortment of quirky and eclectic gifts she started offering nearly five years ago, plus some new ones as well.

"I'm bringing in items we hadn't offered before," Cramer said. "No one single category, just lots of different stuff. Eclectica with a Capital 'E'."

The shop is open for business Friday through Monday, 11 a.m. till 5:30 p.m., offering anything from "flying wish paper, Jacob's car chimes, rocks and crystals, old bottles, jewelry, decor, kitchen wares, wall art, troll dolls, and more," Cramer said.
