Marie F. Skodak, 75, passed away Thursday at her home following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice S. Skodak. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA and has lived in the Bay Area, and Benicia for many years. She was a hair stylist/instructor and later became an independent Real Estate Broker working in the Benicia area.
Marie was very active at St. Dominic's Church and was a volunteer for the Camel Barn Museum.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Cruz; grandsons Mario & Enrique; great grandchildren Isabella & Aaron; sisters Carmie Cindric and Billie Myers; and her brother Patrick Doyle.
Marie was an incredible friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great listener and made every person she came in contact with feel loved. Her warmth and cheer was shared by her many friends and family.
Vigil will be at Passalaqua’s Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:00p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 11:45 am at St. Dominic's Church, and burial will follow in St. Dominic's Cemetery thereafter.
