Hello there my name is Lucy and I have a story! You might call me one of those perpetual foster cats - I keep being returned for this or that reason. It all started when I was barely a year old and I was taken to the vet for a medical condition. You see, my family never came back to get me.
Next, I was placed in a home where I was...well misunderstood. If you mess with a cat that is declawed, she'll probably use her teeth to defend herself. Duh?!
Finally, I hit the jackpot and got a fabulous home with someone that appreciated me for me. We were together for over 10 years until one day she came home from the hospital and realized that she could no longer take care of me. There was no way around it, we both had grown older.
Now, I'm not complaining that I'm a cat that loves the outdoors and yet is declawed. Or that I adore food, but can only eat a prescription diet with a pill chaser. I tried another home. I was cut loose in this big house with no transition period. The other cats banned me to the upstairs and then I got in trouble for peeing and pooping outside of the box even though the only box was downstairs with my tormentors!
I'm a patient cat. I tried again. This time in a home where I was doted on and carefully evaluated. I thought that I'd really hit pay dirt; many weeks went by, it seemed like a match! Only when she came back from vacation, she realized that she needed to grieve for her last cat more.
I just want you to know that I am no old lady. I have kitten playfulness in me. I am social, enjoy being around people and will be the life of any party. I have an incredibly sweet disposition and will readily come when called! I like dogs. I respond to any movement in the kitchen because I might get a tasty morsel (don't be tricked into it though; we'll both regret it!).
I am ready to be part of a new family, one who will love me for my maturity, play with me, brush my gorgeous fur, be there for me through thick and thin and will offer me a forever home! I am declawed so I need to be an indoor kitty because I can't climb or defend myself. I am spayed, current on my vaccines and have tested negative for the bad feline viruses.
