Up to $200 Available for Replacing Older Clothes Washers

VACAVILLE, Calif. – Solano County residents can now receive up to $200 in rebates when purchasing a qualifying water- and energy-efficient clothes washer through a new partnership between the Solano County Water Agency (SCWA) and Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).

"Now you can save water and energy AND get cash back," said Andy Florendo, a Senior Water Resource Specialist for Solano County Water Agency, adding that, "High-efficiency clothes washers use about 40 percent less water and 50 percent less energy than conventional machines."

To qualify, applicants and the installation location must receive water from a Solano County water utility and energy from PG&E. Also, the new clothes washer must meet minimum water and energy savings requirements.
