Abundance of Kittens/Shortage of Foster Homes

Kitten season is here and the need for foster homes has never been greater.

This is the busiest time of the year for cat rescues. Solano County Friends of Animals has several kittens now filling its foster homes. There are more kittens now than the flowers coming in May and all rescue  groups need help saving the mama cats and kittens. 

 CAT ADOPTIONS

will hold pet adoptions Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at .

If you think you might want to be an animal foster-care provider, visit Pet Food Express this weekend and talk to some of the volunteers from Solano County Friends of Animals who can tell you all about it.

Animal foster care is not for everyone. It requires patience and the ability to let go of an animal after it has been in your home for a while. It can be a rewarding experience, and for those who like the idea of an animal in the house but not a long-term commitment, this is perfect.
