The Benicia dog park in Community Park is the site of a weekly gathering at which participants either bark and whine (dogs) or bark and wine (people), and at the end of the party everyone is ready for the weekend.
Friday afternoon is when people like to get together with friends and unwind. It's a time to talk about the just finished work week and plans for the weekend.
And so it is for the dog park users, who have a potluck every Friday. They bring food and libation and talk about their dogs and their work and generally unwind.
