Power Outage

Downed lines affect 4,500 customers in two cities.

Downed transmission lines in Vallejo interupted electricity to 4,500 Pacific Gas and Electric customers in Vallejo and Benicia this morning.

The power outage was first reported at around 9:30 according to PG&E spokesman Jason King.  The site of the downed lines is near Sandy Point Road and Magazine Street in Vallejo.

King said PG&E is still trying to determine what caused the lines to fail.

King said power had been restored to all but 21 customers at 10:30 a.m.

So that's what was going on. I also got a call from PG&E about 1pm to make sure I had power again as I called to report the outage.
