Let's Rock and Roll!

Kittens rescued by FOA are ready for adoption.

Adele and Skylar -- two great female singers or two precious female kittens.  Can the kittens sing?  Well, not really, but they do purr with contentment and meow in harmony.

These two started life on Death Row at the Solano County Animal Shelter.  Packed in cages with over 100 other feral kittens awaiting euthenasia,  their future was bleak until volunteers from Friends of Animals came with a last-minute reprieve.

Not all feral kittens are healthy and friendly enough to be saved but FOA recognized these two stood a good chance.  Thanks to a loving volunteer foster family and donations to the group from animal lovers, Skylar and Adele got a second chance at life.  They have been loved and nurtured while growing strong and are now ready to be adopted into their forever homes.  Litter and scratching post trained, these playful, fun, cuddly kitties will bring endless joy to your family.  The problem is deciding which one to adopt...?  What the heck, maybe you have love enough for both!

To meet Adele and Skylar or other rescues who need a loving home, visit Friends of Animals Adoptions:

            Saturdays, 12-4  and  Sundays, 12-3
Pet Food Express, Southampton Center, Benicia
            Petco, Gateway Plaza, Vallejo

Solano County Friends of Animals needs foster homes and donations to continue helping homeless animals.  FOA is a not-for profit, all volunteer, donation-funded organization.  All FOA rescues are spay/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.  To volunteer, adopt or to get information on low cost spay/neuter programs and feral trapping,  please come to an adoption site or leave a detailed message on the FOA hotline, 552-3323.

Good to see the artists and activists benefiting from the largesse and joining hands with ValeroRead More Corp., which has contributed huge amounts of money to fight anti-pollution propositions and paid millions in polluter fines during the past few years. Valero is #28 on Political Economy Research Institute's list of 100 (out of tens of thousands) Worst Greenhouse Polluters, not quite as bad as Koch Industries Inc (Koch Brothers) at #27 but much worse than Occidental petroleum Corp (81), Du Pont (70) Dow Chemical Co (44) and 68 others on the Top 100 list.
