8th Annual Barkitecture Features Hawaiian Theme

Humane Society of the North Bay raises money for on going animal rescue operations.

Barkitecture Goes Hawaiian was the theme and the decorations at McCormack Hall on the Solano County Fairgrounds left no doubt organizers wanted to transport patrons to the Pacific paradise. 

Patrons were decked out in over-sized, aloha shirts and the pet domiciles and critter condos were reminiscent of  tropical huts. But itwas smiles and laughter that really fueled and ruled the evening.     Bay Area comedian Johnny Steele kept the festivities upbeat and moving along.

Old friends and new mingled as they noshed on a numerous selection of finger foods provided by several popular restaurants, including Benicia's own , before dinner was served.  The silent auctions tables, included items from , , and ,  and garnered a great deal of attention from hopeful bidders.

Live auctions from the dias produced  healthy competition and new dollars to help shelter animals who hare waiting for forever homes.
