County Fair Art Submissions DueToday

Artists and poets of all ages and experience are welcome to submit artwork or poetry to be exhibited and judged at the Solano County Fair, but there's not much time.

The 62nd Annual Fair is scheduled August 3 to 7, and competitive divisions include Fine Arts (Open and Amateur), Photography (Professional and Amateur) and Poetry. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, July 6.

Within the Fine Art division are competitions in watercolor, drawing, collage, printmaking, mixed media, pastel, oil, acrylic, assemblage, sculpture, computer art and graphic art. Benicia artists will compete with others from all over Solano County.

Submissions cost $6 per entry and there are no limits on how many pieces can be submitted. Cash prizes range from $10 to $25 in the amateur divisions and $20 to $50 in the fine arts divisions.
