Art of a Community

Arts Benicia hosts the exhibition's annual reception and party, The Heart of a Community. Anyone wishing to meet and support the exhibiting artists who are at the heart of Benicia's art community should attend.

The exhibit takes place Thursday through Sunday from January 20 to February 27, 2011.

The Art of a Community is Arts Benicia's annual open group show, featuring the work of the artist members of the organization. This marks the 17th year this exhibition has been presented in the gallery and celebrates the rich artistic community that has been cultivated in Benicia and the Bay Area. Art of a Community includes artists from all backgrounds; artists showing for the first time, studio artists in mid-career, and artists who have spent a lifetime honing their technique all come together in the same gallery space for this exhibition.
Each year Arts Benicia grows as an organization and comes to include even more member artists and this exhibition continues to flourish, building upon a foundation of long time artist members with the addition of new artists and new work each year.
