Fire Sale at Arts Benicia

If you've been looking for an opportunity to start collecting art or to enhance your collection come to this weekend, June 25 and 26 for a .  

Arts Benicia’s Fire Sale Fundraiser is a unique opportunity for individuals to get a glimpse at aspects of the art making process that are often hidden in a flat file, or put in storage and never seen by any one other than the artist.

"I've spent a fair amount of time going over the art I'm going to display," said participating artist Mark Eanes.  "There is going to be work on the walls that has been listed at much higher prices in the past."

The Fire Sale will include work by , , Ken Edwards,, Nancy Freeman, Karen Ide, , Semion Mirkin, William Rhodes, Robert Schweibert, Lynda Silva, , and .

The gallery walls will be covered in studies and small works that sit in storage, but deserve to be appreciated, praised and purchased for a reasonable price. 

There will be high-end, finished pieces as well.  "My pieces are top quality art that I've displayed at other galleries," said .  "This show is featuring not just studies and sketches but alsofinished, polished pieces."

The public will have an opportunity to meet the artists, as they will be selling works right off the walls for no more than $99. This is an excellent opportunity to not only purchase an original work of art at an excellent price, but also to support Arts Benicia and local artists.

"I'm just in the mood to clear my inventory and if I can help Arts Benicia in the process all the better," said Eanes.
