It came,
it came first as a mist,
as a vapor.

Slowly it increased,
it increased more rapidly
until it assaulted the pavement
below.

It splashed,
it danced like little children
across the sidewalks,
building from a small stream to
a raging torrent

A mini Colorado racing toward
the drains
and from there into the sea.
