Bites Nearby: Java Point Café

The latest opening of Benicia's coffee shops is a gem for afternoons when you want to sit outside and enjoy your coffee while the breeze blows.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Periodically, Benicia Patch picks a great restaurant in town or nearby that is worth checking out. This week we continue our look at coffee places. Here's this week's choice: Java Point Café.

Java Point Café isn’t a crack of dawn coffee shop but it is a great place for a made-to-order breakfast sandwich, lunch or an afternoon cup of coffee.

The outside tables make it a favorite of bicyclists and there is always a water bowl in case you want Fido to get some refreshment too. There is free WiFi for those wishing to do some work or check their email.
