Gas Prices Going Up

The fire at Chevron is having a bigger affect than originally anticipated.

Benicia drivers who are buying their gasoline downtown might be feeling sticker shock today as prices for a gallon of regular gas have increased $.22-$.34 since an explosion and in Richmond last week.

Union 76 and Chevron have the highest price for regular gas.  Union 76 has raised the price $.22,  the smallest price increase by a downtown station since the fire at Chevron’s Richmond refinery on August 6 started pushing prices higher statewide.

The Valero Corner store has seen the price go up $.32 but the station is offering the lowest price at $4.07 a gallon for regular.
