International Organization Supports Local Businesswomen
New area coordinator holds first networking meeting next week
An innovative women’s networking organization, The Heartlink Network, will hold its first Benicia meeting, Wednesday, October 26 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the home of new area coordinator, Siobhan Mara, a distributor with Juice Plus+ .
The international networking program is designed to support and nurture women entrepreneurs, providing an informal forum to grow their businesses. According to Mara, women with a home-based or network marketing business need flexibility to be home with their children, but once they use up their warm leads, they have few networking opportunities. These meetings, she says, will provide access to a new audience. Ten local business women have already registered for next week’s meeting.
Once a month, a group of 10-25 women will meet at Mara’s home for an informal dinner and socializing. Each attendee will be allowed three minutes to showcase her product or service, distribute literature, or demonstrate her goods, with a brief opportunity afterward to share recent successes. One representative per industry is permitted to attend each meeting.

No membership is required. The meeting fee is a nominal $20.00 to cover meal costs and reserve the industry-exclusive seat. Guests may attend with a member at a discounted fee. A monthly honoree program is also in place; next week, a registered attendee may bring a breast cancer survivor at no charge. Plans are also in development to spotlight a different nonprofit each month.
