New Business in the Tannery Building

Antique store is looking for a few select dealers to fill out the space.

Fabulous Finds, an antiques and collectibles store, has opened in the Tannery Building.  The business is a partnership between Jack Stenson, an Irishman whose accent is still strong, and Karen McCollough who has been selling antiques in Martinez for many years.

“I’ve been collecting for many years,” said Stenson.  “We are good friends so we got together and opened this store.”

The idea for the store came to McCollough one night when she joined a friend for dinner at Sailor Jack’s and saw the Tannery was looking for new tenants. “It was something that fell in our laps,” said Stenson.

The store sells a large variety of items from furniture to old logging saws and model trucks.  “Our stuff comes from estate sales mostly,” said Stenson.  “The guy stuff is mine.  Karen does the furniture.”

Fabulous Finds is located in the Tannery Building and is open Thursday – Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
