Short Term Forecast Shows Likely Break in Rain During Early Evening

The weather forecast for the next five hours shows little or no rain to dampen spirits at Benicia tree lighting ceremony.

The hourly forecast on weather.com shows Benicia will likely get a break in the rain from 4-9 p.m.   The break should mean perfect conditions for the annual tree lighting and Holiday Open House in downtown Benicia.

According to Benicia Main Street Executive Director Nancy Martinez, the tree lighting is scheduled for 6:30 and the Holiday Open House will last until 9 p.m.

First Street will be closed for the event so holiday shoppers are encouraged to come early to secure good parking spots.
