Super Recyclers In Benicia Industrial Park

Allied Waste names Benicia Industrial Park businesses that go "Above and Beyond" to divert waste from landfills.

Allied Waste Services recently presented “Above and Beyond” certificates to four Benicia Industrial Park Association businesses in appreciation of their outstanding efforts in recycling, as well as their generosity in the community

Ruszel Woodworks was cited for donating dowels, wood, and sheets of plastic to schools and artists.   Additionally, bins in front of their facility have scraps for everyone who needs a little fireplace kindling and the donated 5-gallon buckets  “Coastal Cleanup” groups.  Ed Ruszel works hard to recycle or re-purpose everything left over from production.

Jasmin Powell and Kevin Silva at  Dunlop Manufacturing embrace recycling and have carts in all their buildings and lunchrooms, catching everything they can. They even recycle their damaged and leftover guitar strings and spools.

When Steve Moore created his Pacific Rim Recycling facility, he used old railroad cars for the building walkways. He helps East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse collect for their facility. Recycling is in his heart. He allows kids to tour the facility, and has real-time cameras set up so they can safely learn about recycling. The kids then sign a pledge to recycle and write their names on the wall of the theater room.
