The Rellik Tavern's St. Patrick’s Day Party Will Benefit Capitol Park

The event will go on rain or shine (the tents will go up if the rain comes down).

For Benicians who want to support a local business, support the local state park and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and do all three things in one place, the is the spot to be this Saturday.

“Last year we had a line with 30 or 40 people in it most of the night and that was a Thursday,” said Peagan.  “This year we’ll have an all day party with live music starting at 11 in the morning.  The doors will open at 10:45.”

The local watering hole will donate 15 percent of its profits on the day to the Benicia State Parks Association  to help fund operations when the group takes ofer operation of the Capitol Park according to Delondo Peagan, one of the owners of the Rellik.

The live music will kick-off at 11 a.m. with Acoustic S&M and over the course of the day will include sets by The Voltones, Public Eye, Sin Silver & the Avenue, and Self Proclaimed Heroes. The outdoor celebration will end at 8 p.m. and at 9 Doug McLean and Arbroath will play indoors.

The Rellik has arranged to have large party tents erected if the rain is coming down hard Saturday.  “If it’s a little drizzly I’m not going to worry about it,” said Peagan.  “It’ll be Irish weather for an Irish holiday.”
