The Snack Bar at Community Park

It may not be against the law to have a baseball or softball game without hot dogs, but it should be.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Benicia Patch picks a great restaurant in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

The snack bar at Community Park.

We're celebrating baseball this week. League play for the Benicia High Panthers starts Friday, and opening ceremonies for Little League and softball were last weekend.

The snack bar at the ball fields at Community Park is where you can get a hot dog and soda pop and candy for a fraction of what you'd pay at a big league park. And when you eat here, you're likely to run into tomorrow's baseball stars when they're still willing to give you an autograph.
