Benicia Bridge Lanes Clear After Single-Car Wreck

Two lanes on the bridge were closed Tuesday morning.

Traffic on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge is flowing again after a single-car accident caused major delays Tuesday morning.

The crash involving a Toyota Corolla was reported around 5:50 a.m. on southbound Highway 680 along the mid-span of the Benicia Bridge, according to the CHP.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert for the area about ten minutes later and two right lanes were closed.

One of those lanes reopened around 6:20 a.m.

Motorists in the area are advised to use caution and should expect delays.
