Due to an overwhelming response from those wanting to give blood, BCP is urging people to postpone their blood donations until next week or the week after.  It is essential that the blood currently being used be replenished in the coming weeks.

"BCP centers and blood drives are currently reporting long wait times," said Lisa Bloch, spokesperson for BCP.  "The burn victims have a number of operations in their future and will continue to need blood for each procedure."
