AARP Driver Safety 8-hour class (taught over two consecutive days)

AARP Driver Safety classes are open
to anyone age 50 or older, and are now being offered in the Benicia area. It’s
a great way to refresh your driving skills, and earn a discount on your auto
insurance for up to three years, too. This class runs for two consecutive days,
Thursday, Dec. 12, and Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. You
must attend both days to complete the course. The classes are at the Benicia
Community Center, 370 East L St. (Use East 4th Street entrance).
Sign up by contacting Benicia Parks and Community Services, 746-4285, or by
visiting the Parks and Community Services office in the Community Center. Enrollment
limited to 25 students per class. The
course fee is $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members. Pay at the class (cash
or checks payable to AARP Driver Safety). Bring a pillow (hard plastic chairs),
a sweater or light coat (the classroom can get cold) and a snack – this is a
four-hour class. Beverages (coffee, tea, or hot chocolate) are available for
purchase onsite.
