AARP Smart Driver 8-hour class (taught over two consecutive days)

AARP Driver Safety classes are a
great way to refresh your driving skills and earn a discount on your auto
insurance for up to three years, too. For 2014, the course features a new name,
a new look, and an all-new curriculum. This class runs for two consecutive days,
Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. You
must attend both days to complete the course. The classes are at the Benicia
Community Center, 370 East L St. (Use East 4th Street entrance).
Sign up by contacting Benicia Parks and Community Services, 746-4285, or by
visiting the Parks and Community Services office in the Community Center. Enrollment
limited to 30 students per class. The
course fee is $15 for AARP members; $20 for non-members. Pay at the class (cash
or checks payable to “AARP”). Bring a pillow (hard plastic chairs), a sweater
or light coat (the classroom can get cold) and a snack. Beverages (coffee, tea,
or hot chocolate) are available for purchase onsite.
