As the winter solstice approaches, Forces of Nature,
will be the theme of the Benicia High School (BHS) winter dance show.  The show will engage audience members to
consider the driving elements that can change a personal life as well as a climatic envioronment.

The dance show collaborators have tied together a storyline that will showcase a full spectrum of dance styles from contemporary to ballet to jazz to hip hop. The
acts feature the work developed in Beginning, Intermediate and especially the Advance dance classes conducted by BHS Dance teacher, Christine Mani.  Other dances have been choreographed by alumni of the dance program and local choreographers who are continuing to build their talents at the university and profession levels.  Current students also put in competing bids to have their choreography presented in the show.

"Forces of Nature will make you want to believe in the repeating cycle of life. We will honor things coming to an end and raise hope for the promise of newbeginnings.  We think it will be a great way to celebrate the end of one season and the beginning of a new way of life,”
said Mani.

Tax deductible donations may be made to Benicia High School – Performing Arts Dept., and sent to: 1101 Military West, Benicia, CA 94510. Receipts will be
provided to all contributors.
