On Sunday, July 15, those with the desire to help fellow Benicians will have the opportunity to gather for wine tasting, appetizing treats, and live music at the Winterhawk Winery in Suisun. The event will benefit the six non-profit organizations funded by the Human Services Fund of Benicia: Community Action Council (CAC), Families in Transition (FIT), Catholic Social Services, Special Friends, Children’s Nurturing Project, and Benicia Community Gardens. Tickets are $30 per person or $50 for two and are available from Human Services Board members, Benicia City Finance Office, Bookshop Benicia, or Main Street Benicia. Hours for the event are 1 pm to 5 pm at Winterhawk Wineries, 4537 Abernathy Road, Fairfield. Music will be performed by Jazz Gorilla, and the Jun Simundo Band.
