Editor’s Notebook: Who Doesn’t Want a Trader Joe’s?
Reading other Patch sites makes me aware that Benicians aren't alone.
I was reading a story written by my Patch colleague Jennifer Squires who runs the Watsonville Patch. The story is about the large number of taquerias in Watsonville.The following was in the comment stream and it made me aware that Benicia isn’t alone in its desire to have a Trader Joe’s:

yes but, Chipotle is so much healthier! And it's a chain that will draw other chains ... and so on, and so on, and so on... until Trader Joe's sees how WORTHY we are – rofl
Ask Mr. Overmeyer whatever happened to the Fresh & Easy possibility.
I guess Cathy P. will fit right in if she ever decides to leave the central coast and move to Benicia.
