Letter to the Editor: Romney Victory in November

Not only will Romney win the White House, but Republicans will hold onto the House of Representatives and win the Senate.

I love this time of year.  The big one is upon us.  You know, the Presidential election on Nov. 6, 2012.

Nov. 7, 2012 is when I cut my hair after President Obama’s defeat.

I know all the emotions attached to the president.  Emotions do not win elections.  Votes and electoral numbers do.  So as I have written in the past few months and will going forward, I predict a Romney win.

Now I know, you wonder how I can predict that.  It will not be on emotions.  It will be on votes and electoral votes.  As you all know it takes 270 to win the presidency.    Some are already saying it narrows down to Ohio again.  I do not think so.  Romney could lose Ohio and still win the election.  He just needs to win Iowa, Wisconsin and Colorado.  Sound easy?  No.  It is never easy.

Romney will win Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nevada.

Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania will be close.  But as this election moves closer to Nov. 6 and the VP is chosen and the conventions are over I expect a Romney surge.  If by chance it turns out to be a tie it does not favor the President.

Even more bad news for the President is that there will be an all time high number of governors elected.  Try thirty-four.  You do the math.

There are ninety-nine legislative houses in the 50 states.  One state, Nebraske has only one legislative house while the other 49 have two.  Look for two thirds of those houses to be controlled by Republicans after the November election.

All of this brings out the Republican/Conservative vote.  Republicans will also win the United States Senate with 51 or 52 seats and the U.S. House of Representatives  with a 235/200 margin.

Bye Bye Nancy Pelosi

As far as California goes there will not be the five to seven new house seats for the Liberals.  No more than three.  That will be a big defeat for Nancy Pelosi.

So as you can see the President is not looking like he will be re-elected.  At present the polls are showing a very close race.  Some favor President Obama, some favor Romney.  All by no more than 2 points.  This election is about the economy- unemployment and the debt and deficit.  It is not about Romney and his  tax returns or Obamacare.

Obamacare  has been identified in a way which the Liberals do not like.  One word says it all-TAX. Do I think this election will be close?  Yes.  Nasty? A great big yes. President Obama is going to have a money problem as this election gets into the final weeks.  He will be bombarded in about ten states with no funds left to make come back ads.

I know you folks talk about the super PACS.  They have less money than the unions.  The unions have their own problems.  Governor races, state upper and lower house races.  They need wins in those situations to hold on to their power. They will not be interested like they have in the past of getting a Liberal President elected.  They will be trying to save their own skin.  So my prediction stands.

Maybe some of you Liberals can come up with some numbers that say I am wrong.  Please no emotional hope and change comments.  Put the numbers up and the state the reason why President Obama will win them.

Robert, you said it,  "it's all about the money". Sad course we are  on, even if Romney was a great leader, but had no funds, a little low on cash, he would not be a predicted winner.  So, what it says about our system is "if you can out spend, even if you are not a leader, you have a great chance of winning an election".  And what exactly is Romney's plan for health care? His comments of how he is going to repeal Obama Care if elected, is such a joke, he does not have the power to overturn such a decision.

Did you know that people are committing crimes in order to get top notch healthcare in our prisons, pretty sad when free people are not able to get healthcare but a prisoner can. I know for a fact, in that I was a CDC employee for 25 years, americans need healthcare, end of story.  Prior to Bush Jr, Clinton left a surplus of funds, after Clinton Bush Jr, a man who failed to fulfill his military commitment  without any consequence again demonstrates the power of the dollar. So after a huge scam of searching for WMD and over 5000 American deaths, Obama inherited a huge deficit.  And even he nor anyone else could fix that mess in 4 years, probably no even in another 4 yrs. But he will win the election, many Republicans who do not care for his abilities will vote for him rather than Romney, why waste a vote. Romney and all his money and kings men can not put Bush Jr's mess back together again. And just to let you know I voted for Bush Senior, and I am glad I did, but now I vote for the one who can do the job, not the party they represent

Bob Livesay predicted an Elizabeth Patterson defeat in the last local election. Guess what? He was wrong. Reading tea leaves, oyster shells, or wood bark is just as valid as reading Mr. Livesay. I read none of them. Good luck! I've changed the station.--Peter Bray, Benicia, CA

Peter you do read all my LTTE. I made many comments about our mayor. Never supported another candidate but was very critical of the mayor. I said it would be close and it was. Peter you are just another hope and change Liberal. You offer no evidence how President Obama will win. Start putting some numbers up or move on as you said. Peter you will read my comment as you always have. Just how do you know what I said if you did not read all my LTTE. Own up to it Peter you read me all the time.

An array of predictions without a single piece of evidence to support them...other than Obama will run out of money (meaning he'll have run out of his over-half-billion in funds). Sure...if America is ready for a candidate who... 1) lies about his years at Bain 2) refuses to talk about and has destroyed records from his time as governor 3) destroys evidence of his record as head of the SLOC 4) refuses to release his tax returns 5) won't explain how he'll lower the deficit 6) won't explain his foreign policy 7) promises to bring back the failed Bush tax policy 8) promises to give free reign to the banksters to do as they please 9) has flip-flopped on every imaginable issue...aside from tax cuts for the wealthy ...then, sure, Romney has a great chance to win.

The voting competency of Americas' Majority was proven to me when George W. Bush was elected, not once but twice. Spiraling us into this "Economic Tsunami" that we currently find ourselves in. And not only was it and still is incompetence; it's also selective memory. Somehow people want to blame this crap on President Obama, who any sane person clearly knows, inherited this mess. STUPID IS HOW STUPID VOTE!! Thank God for Stupidity for it has its’ place Thank God it transcends all Genders, Religions and Race Thank God for Stupidity The step-child of Humanity No brains required just loyalty and vanity If stupidity was a Country at some point we’d all be citizens eager and valiant soldiers fighting for its’ Sovereignty Hell I’ve pledge allegiance to its’ flag on many occassions I’ve fought in its’ wars with blind faith and pursuasion But in November when you go out of your house and into the voting booth with little or no wisdom,no logic No Ruth Allow me to tell you when you got like that and why you did It was the day you voted for Mitt Romney Now you know STUPID!!!

Sonny, You stated that Romney plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Just this week the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released two reports, one of which estimates the cost of repealing the ACA. It may be a surprise to many that the CBO estimates that repealing ABA would actually cost the government over $100 billion over the next 10 years. I wonder how Mittens plans to cover that cost, if by some unlikely event he does win the election. All indications are that he is already earmarking tax-payer money.

Bobby just why do you keep trying to write poetry. You can not write even passable poetry. Just a bunch of name calling words. Bobby I will ask you again to give me the numbers on why President Obama will win. You do not know. You have no idea how man electoral votes Guam has. Bobby the poet has no clue about anything that is important . Bobby just tell me how President Obama is going to win the elctions. Facts and figures not hope and change. Do you think the Guam vote will put him over the top?

The most valid point you make is about Republican governors influencing the election. Indeed they will, because all states with Republican leaning state legislatures are scrambling to pass voter suppression laws under the guise of voter fraud protection. Romney and Ryan's policies are totally unclear -- cut the deficit by lowering taxes more? while continuing war? It didn't work once and it won't work again. I don't want to grow old in a U.S. that has systematically dismantled its government to put more money into the pockets of the wealthy and continue fighting pointless, illegal wars. Your article is worthless. Look at real polls, which have a long history of success and accuracy: http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/ (and cue hysterical screaming about liberal media biases.)

Boy oh boy. Someone sure missed the ball predicting this election. That's what can happen when you trust the Rasmussen or Gallup polls, watch Fox news, or listen to the likes of Dick Morris. Donald Jones had it right. For accuracy check http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com .

Robert Livesay, I think you owe us a head shaving. Or are you a FLIP-FLOPPER like Loser Romney? Robert Livesay 7:30 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 Send your money to JB and then I will discuse this. It is still my show not yours. The mayor would not be part of a victory event for our new President Romney. I would not allow her to be even in the audience to see my very up to date styled hair cut. Now if she is willing to send in the $200.00 and concede defeat I might give her a second chance. Do not hold your breath T. Please send your donation to JB at once. You allo talk and no action. Man-up Dude.

Hey, Livesay...come out, come out, wherever you are!! Let's take a stroll down memory lane, back in September when you were making bold predictions atop your false assertions. You had Romney coasting to an easy win. I had Obama winning all the swing states (missed only NC). You had Dems at no better than 51/49 in the Senate. I had it at 53/47. It turns out to be 55/45. You lose again. You said Gallup and Rasmussen were the two best pollsters. They're the only two whose last poll had Romney winning the popular vote. You're discredited again. Finally, you mocked my assertion that Nate Silver is the best at forecasting the results. Nate went 51-for-51, even accurately projecting Florida would be the closest of them all. How can you be so consistently wrong, so often? Perhaps it's time to take a step outside the Fox bubble...where never is a heard a factual word. You're consistently being misinformed and lied to. Really, for your own good, take a step outside the bubble. There's a wonderful world out there and you're missing it.
