Benicia Police Log: Armed Robbery on East Fifth Street

12:38 a.m.: There was a report of loud music coming from a a residence on Clearview.  When officers arrived the music was off and no one answered the door.

9:51 a.m.: Officers spoke to the people involved in a tenant dispute on Bayshore Road.

11:29 a.m.: A resident on Dorset failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

12:08 p.m.: Officers documented an alleged hit and run on East B Street.

12:17 p.m.: A resident on West L Street failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

6:20 p.m.: A business on East Fifth Street asked for police assistance in dealing with an unruly customer.

7:15 p.m.: A resident on East Third Street failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

8:40 p.m.: Police successfully located a person who had been reported missing earlier in the day.  The person was found on Columbus Parkway.

9:01 p.m.: Officers spoke to the people who were in Alvarez Park after hours.

9:28 p.m.: Officers spoke to the people who were in a Rose Drive area park after hours.

10:58 p.m.: There was an armed robbery at the Fast and Easy Mart on East Fifth Street.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
