This is the crime bulletin for Sunday, August 25, 2013 from the Benicia Police Department.
12:23 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into a residential burglary on McAllister.
1:26 a.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old Benicia man and a 24-year-old Napa man on a variety of drug and probation violations as well as outstanding bench warrants.
9:43 a.m.: Officers spoke to the dumpster diver on Southampton Road who agreed to take his hobby elsewhere.
10:19 a.m.: Officers spoke to the owner of a trailer illegally parked on West L Street. The trailer owner assured officers the trailer would be moved soon.
10:50 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Stone Road business.
1:04 p.m.: A citizen on First Street failed to turn off a burglar alarm in a timely fashion.
1:38 p.m.: Police were called to Violet where a pair of brothers were embroiled in an argument.
1:51 p.m.: Officers spoke to a citizen on Warwick who was reportedly shooting an air rifle.
1:52 p.m.: Police opened an investigation into a case of domestic violence that occurred on East H Street.
2:53 p.m.: A resident on Rose Drive failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.
3:57 p.m.: There was a non-injury accident on West K Street.
8:14 p.m.: Police received a report that someone was discharging an air rifle in the vicinity of Carlisle. Investigating officers couldn’t locate a shooter.
8:16 p.m.: Those suspicious people sighted at an apartment on East N Street were the babysitters.
9:48 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from I-780.
Editor’s Note: Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
