Benicia Police Log: False Alarms, Kids Being Kids and a Found Bicycle

The following information was supplied by the Benicia Police Department, and unless otherwise noted, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

This is the crime bulletin for Wednesday, July 24, 2013  from the Benicia Police Department

7:55 a.m.: Officers looked for a vehicle that was reportedly driving recklessly on East Second Street.

8:31 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on First Street.

9:41 a.m.: A resident on Kearney reported a case of fraud.

10:02 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Southampton Road.

10:42 a.m.: Officers issued a warning to someone walking two dogs off-leash on Rose Drive park.

2:17 p.m.: Police were dispatched to Solano Square where they spoke to a group of skateboarders.

3:49 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Sunset.

4:11 p.m.: Officers documented the theft of items from a car parked on Rose Drive.

4:11 p.m.: Officers were unable to find the skateboarders who were reportedly grinding on East J Street.

4:46 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on McCall.

6:11 p.m.: A bicycle found on Hillcrest is now at the police storage locker.

7:46 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Greenbrier.

8:09 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a person who was reportedly walking along I-680.

8:29 p.m.: The kids who appeared to be ready for a fight at a West K Street park were just being loud.

9:21 p.m.: Officers mediated a dispute between neighbors on East K Street.

9:53 p.m.: Officers went to Grant Street where they were asked to document a roommate disagreement.

10:39 p.m.: The driver who was driving like a drunk on East Second Street wasn’t drunk.

10:57 p.m.: A car was towed from Military East.

11:03 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Military East business.

11:58 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an Industrial East business.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
