12:36 a.m.: Officers took two kids home from a parking on Rose Drive.

7:43 a.m.: Police issued a citation for an illegally parked trailer on Lori Drive.

9:31 a.m.: Officers were asked to come to a home on East O Street where there was a dispute regarding custody of children.

9:39 a.m.: Officers investigating a burglar alarm activation at a home on West K Street found the house to be secure.

10:36 a.m.: Officers issued a warning to the driver of a vehicle who inadvertently entered private property on Bayshore Road.

11:17 a.m.: Police received a report of a body hanging from a covered porch.  Officers investigated and found a painter at work.

11:17 a.m.: Officers investigating a burglar alarm activation at a home on Church Street found the house to be secure.

11:24 a.m.: Officers began an investigation into possible vandalism on First Street.

1:29 p.m.: Police received a report of a juvenile throwing gold balls at geese on Military West.  Investigating officers were unable to find the juvenile.

2:16 p.m.: A citizen on Sunset reported possible Smog certification fraud.

2:43 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to an address on East Seaview where a mother and daughter were in the midst of a dispute.  Officers were able to mediate.

4:05 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a possible drink driver reported on First Street.

4:44 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on East Industrial Way.

5:03 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a case of alleged battery on East F Street.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
