2:06 p.m.: A resident on Rinconada reported receiving threats from an ex.

2:25 p.m.: The man on First Street who appeared disoriented was given a ride home by officers.
2:49 p.m.: The school resource officer is investigating a possible case of ongoing threats against a student.

3:56 p.m.: A burglar alarm at a business on East Industrial was accidentally activated.
4:30 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from West Industrial.
4:36 p.m.: The person who stole a set of headphones from a business in Solano Square got to have a discussion with police officers before returning the headphones.
9:09 p.m.: Police received a blind 911 call from an address on East H Street. There was no emergency.
9:14 p.m.: Some vehicles on West H Street suffered the indignity of getting egged. The perpetrators were never located.
10:13 p.m.: Officers looked for but were unable to find the group of kids playing in the street on Bolton.
11:25 p.m.: A 32-year-old Richmond man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and failing to properly obey traffic directions.

1:12 a.m.: This was the first drunk driving arrest in Benicia on Cinco de Mayo 2012. A 45-year-old man was arrested while driving on Interstate 680. Officers believe he was driving while intoxicated. The passenger in his, a 25-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of a switchblade.
1:36 a.m.: Officers called triple A for a citizen who locked the keys in the car at Solano Square.
2:11 a.m.: A 24-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
7:02 a.m.: A burglar alarm at a city owned facility on East L Street was activated in error.
9:04 a.m.: A 14-year-old was reported missing on Military East.
11:30 a.m.: A residential burglar alarm on Panorama accidentally went off.
12:11 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into a possible case of fraud on West Fifth Street.
12:30 p.m.: Officers assisted a family in the throes of a family dispute. Officers acted as mediators and got the family on an even keel.
12:49 p.m.: A business alarm on East Industrial malfunctioned.
2:26 p.m.: A residential alarm on Elane malfunctioned.
3:22 p.m.: A residential burglar alarm on Primrose malfunctioned.
8:47 p.m.: Officers had a quiet talk with the people having the loud party on East Fifth Street.
8:59 p.m.: A business alarm at a business on East Second Street was activated, but for no apparent reason.
10:04 p.m.: Officers couldn’t find the drunk driver reportedly cruising down Interstate 780.
10:58 p.m.: There was a loud party on East O Street. Happily, when officers arrived the music got quieter.
11:22 p.m.: There was a verbal altercation on First Street.

12:10 a.m.: Officers received a report of a possible altercation on East Fifth street. When they arrived they found two guys walking home and talking loudly.
12:11 a.m.: A 29-year-old Benicia man was arrested for putting his fist through a window at a First Street business. He was also drunk.
12:43 a.m.: A stolen vehicle was recovered on West E Street.
1:03 a.m.: There was a verbal disturbance on First Street. The participants were gone when officers arrived.
1:20 a.m.: A possible drunk driver was spotted in the vicinity of Washington.
1:27 a.m.: A 49-year-old Benicia woman was arrested domestic violence.
2:10 a.m.: Officers went to a Military East residence where a woman could reportedly be heard screaming. Officers didn’t hear ay screaming when they arrived on the scene.
2:41 a.m.: There was a fight on First Street. Officers managed to break it up and sent the combatants home.
7:20 a.m.: A car on Military East was vandalized.
12:45 p.m.: A cell phone found on West K Street was returned to the rightful owner.
12:50 p.m.: Officers began an investigating a case of vandalism on Military East. A car was damaged.
1:10 p.m.: The burglar alarm at a business on Goodyear Road malfunctioned.
3:26 p.m.: a residential alarm on Drolette malfunctioned.
3:55 p.m.: The malfunctioning alarm was on Getty this time.
5:05 p.m.: There was a motorcycle on its side in a parking lot on Columbus.
5:57 p.m.: A missing person was recovered on East Second Street.
6:36 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate the drunk driver reported on Monte Vista.
6:51 p.m.: A suspicious person reported on Southampton Road was taken to a residence in Vallejo.
7:25 p.m.: The pair who might have been fighting on First Street were really just goofing around.
8:21 p.m.: Officers are working with the neighborhood watch crew on Mountview to keep track of a suspicious person who was spotted in the neighborhood.
8:39 p.m.: A vehicle on East D Street had its insides vandalized.
8:58 p.m.: Officers had a talk with the two people who were having a big fight on Casa Grande.
11:00 p.m.: The report of a verbal altercation on East N Street turned out to be a false alarm.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
