12:48 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a West Channel Road business.
1:12 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at Columbus Parkway business.
1:24 a.m.: Police received a report of two suspicious characters standing around in the rain near two cars on Southampton Road.
2:19 a.m.: An employee of an East Industrial Way business accidentally set off the burglar alarm.
8:44 a.m.: A woman on West Sixth Street reported her husband had been missing since the day before.
10:41 a.m.: A purse was stolen at Solano Square.
1:52 p.m.: Officers spoke to a person trying to bum a ride from people on Southampton Road.
2:55 p.m.: Officers were unable to find a suspicious person reported on East Fifth Street.
3:00 p.m.: Someone broke into a storage unit on Jackson Street.
3:08 p.m.: A pedestrian reported a car not yielding when the crosswalk was occupied.
3:48 p.m.: Officers talked to a couple of people who were suspected of violating drug laws.
6:18 p.m.: A dog bit a person on Valerie.
7:27 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from Columbus Parkway.
7:30 p.m.: There was a hit and run on Hastings Drive.
7:47 p.m.: There was a hit and run in the parking lot of Solano Square.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
