Benicia Police Log: Missing Person On Incline, Drunk Driver on East Second

The following information was supplied by the Benicia Police Department, and unless otherwise noted, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

This is the crime bulletin for Sunday, August 18, 2013 from the Benicia Police Department

9:42 a.m.: Officers were called on the separate an employer and an ex-employee who were having an argument regarding money.

11:29 a.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on West J Street.

11:53 a.m.: Officers left a message for the owner of a vehicle that was the subject of a complaint.

12:26 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Stone Road business.

1:03 p.m.: Police received a complaint about a truck blocking Buena Vista.  The truck was gone when officers arrived on the scene.

1:15 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on Military East.

1:24 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Stone Road business.

1:36 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Rose Drive.

3:05 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a building on Hastings.

3:31 p.m.: Police received a report of loud music on Jackson Street.  Investigating officers didn’t hear any music.

3:32 p.m.: Officers spoke to a number of people involved in a fight on Rose Drive.

4:32 p.m.: Police opened an investigation after a resident of Incline Place reported missing.

5:57 p.m.: Police received a report of up to six gunshots being fired near the East Third Street pedestrian tunnel.  Investigating officers found no evidence of gun play.

6:17 p.m.: A resident on Southampton Road reported receiving threatening text messages from her boyfriend’s ex.

7:31 p.m.: The person who was reportedly driving like a drunk on West J Street wasn’t actually drunk.

8:08 p.m.: Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle on rose Drive.

8:46 p.m.: Officers arrested a 22-year-old Fairfield man on an outstanding warrant issued by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s office.

9:11 p.m.: Police received a report of a vehicle in a parking lot on Rose Drive making a lot of noise.

9:16 p.m.: Police received a report of a vehicle pulled over on Lake Herman Road and someone dumping trash.

10:19 p.m.: Police arrested a 22-year-old Benicia man for drunk driving.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
