Benicia Police Log: Parents fighting with Children, Assault at Southampton Center

12:30 a.m.: Police received a report of a loud argument between two females at a residence on Military East.  Investigating officers found a mother and her adult daughter having a verbal argument.

7:07 a.m.: Officers documented the theft of a motorcycle seat on Warwick.

8:07 a.m.: The young man spotted in the bleachers at community park who looked upset was waiting for soccer practice to start.

10:30 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a home on Bayview where a teenaged boy was fighting with his parents about the loss of his Internet privileges.

11:37 a.m.: Officers were asked to assist with an unruly teen on Military West.

11:54 a.m.: Officers documented that a car parked on Rose Drive was vandalized.

11:58 a.m.: A 28-year-old Vallejo man was arrested on a warrant issued by the California Department of Corrections.  The arrest took place on Dale.

12:23 p.m.: A burglar alarm was activated on East J Street.  Investigating officers found no evidence of illegal entry.

12:25 p.m.: Officers were asked to document the vandalism that occurred to a car parked on East L Street.

12:30 p.m.: A resident on London reported receiving harassing phone calls.  Officers had a chat with the person making the calls.

2:12 p.m.: An unauthorized vehicle drove into the Valero Refinery entrance on Bayshore Road.  The people in the car were following their GPS directions.

3:16 p.m.:  Oakland man in connection with a stolen wallet and an assault with a car.

4:07 p.m.: Bicycles were stolen from the garage of an East N Street residence.

6:29 p.m.: A homeowner on Stuart failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

6:38 p.m.: Officers talked to the owner of a trailer that was illegally parked on McAllister.

7:04 p.m.: A homeowner on West J Street accidentally activated his burglar alarm.

7:24 p.m.: Officers received a report of a suspicious person coming to the front door of a home on Belvedere.  The person was gone when officers arrived on the scene.

7:33 p.m.: A resident on Shirley wanted to speak to an officer regarding a neighbor’s security system.

8:06 p.m.: There was a fight on Military East.  One party had left the scene when officers arrived.  The other party didn’t want to press charges.

10:44 p.m.: A burglar alarm appeared to have malfunctioned at a business on Military East.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
