Benicia Police Log: Police Recover Stolen Vehicle and Missing Child

12:47 a.m.: Police received a report of a loud party on Allen.  The noise had subsided before they arrived to talk to the hosts.

6:38 a.m.: A 44-year-old Benicia woman was arrested on McKay Way for residential burglary.

7:56 a.m.: A 46-year-old Benicia woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Mendocino County. 

11:44 a.m.: A vehicle stolen from a Benicia resident was recovered in Vallejo and returned to its owner.

12:35 p.m.: Some students were involved in a verbal altercation on Military West.

12:54 p.m.: An 18-year-old Benicia woman was arrested for driving a car without the owner’s permission.

1:14 p.m.: Officers talked to some parents who were in the midst of a verbal dispute at a school on Rose Drive.

1:30 p.m.: The owner of the dog running around on Lori Drive was cited.

3:53 p.m.: A juvenile who had been reported missing was found and taken home.

5:04 p.m.: There was a traffic collision with injuries on East Industrial.

6:41 p.m.:  A burglar alarm was accidentally activated at a business on East Second Street.

7:09 p.m.: There was a family disturbance on Military East.

7:26 p.m.: A camera and a cell phone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on East I Street.

9:17 p.m.: Police issued citations for vehicles parked in a No Parking Zone.

10:03 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a possible drunk driver on Interstate 780.

11:04: A resident on Warwick reported hearing gunshots.  Investigating officers didn’t find anyone n the area with a gun.

11:45 p.m.: A resident on Essex requested police take a look at the residence to make sure everything was ok.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
