The following information was supplied by the Benicia Police Department, and unless otherwise noted, an arrest does not indicate a conviction. Click the "Keep me posted" button for an alert when we publish this daily report.

This is the crime bulletin for Thursday, December 6, 2012 from the Benicia Police Department. Click the "Keep me posted" button below for an alert when we publish this report.

9:02 a.m.: Three men got into a shouting match on Southampton Road.

11:03 a.m.: A resident on Brentwood reported a knife stuck in the roof and no ideas on how it got there.

2:56 p.m.: Police were notified of two cars parked illegally on El Bonito.  Investigating officers found that the allegation was baseless.

3:13 p.m.: Police received a report of road rage on Hastings.

3:38 p.m.: A customer at a Southampton Road business was unhappy about staffing levels at the business.

5:53 p.m.: A resident on Arguello failed to turn off the burglar alarm in a timely fashion.

6:53 p.m.: There was an assault reported on East Fourth Street.

7:37 p.m.: Officers cited a vehicle that was blocking a driveway on First Street.

9:25 p.m.: A resident on West J Street reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the area.  The resident believed someone might be living in the car.  Investigating officers found the vehicle was legally parked and had some stuff inside.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.

"A customer at a Southampton Road business was unhappy about staffing levels at the business."
It was probably Bobbie complaining about the lack of minorities working at Ace.

Good to see the artists and activists benefiting from the largesse and joining hands with ValeroRead More Corp., which has contributed huge amounts of money to fight anti-pollution propositions and paid millions in polluter fines during the past few years. Valero is #28 on Political Economy Research Institute's list of 100 (out of tens of thousands) Worst Greenhouse Polluters, not quite as bad as Koch Industries Inc (Koch Brothers) at #27 but much worse than Occidental petroleum Corp (81), Du Pont (70) Dow Chemical Co (44) and 68 others on the Top 100 list.
