Benicia Police Log: Skateboarders Confused Solano Square with Skate Park

6:38 a.m.: Officers responded to a request to speak to an officer made by a resident on West K Street regarding an ongoing issue with a neighbor.

6:50 a.m.: The suspicious vehicle spotted on Goodyear Road is owned by someone who wanted to give their dog a walk in the area.

7:37 a.m.: A 60-year-old Benicia man was arrested on Southampton Road for petty theft.

9:59 a.m.: There was an accidental activation of an alarm at a business on West 11th Street.

10:05 a.m.: A slow traveling vehicle spotted on East Industrial was being driven by a person who had permission to go through some dumpsters in the area.

12:17 p.m.:  A resident on Belvedere saw an unfamiliar trailer parked in neighbor’s  driveway.  The owner of the trailer turned out to be another neighbor who was parking it there temporarily.

4:06 p.m.: The suspicious character in a car on Bay Vista was doing some computer work.

6:45 p.m.: Officers told the boys who were skateboarding on the parking lot of Solano Square to grind somewhere else.

11:24 p.m.: A 30-year-old Benicia man was arrested for being drunk in public.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
