Benicia Police Log: Stolen Purse, Stolen Money and Yelling Kids

2:08 a.m.: The hosts of a party on West Second Street were asked to quiet down.

3:25 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a city facility on Southampton Road.

4:46 a.m.: A 911 call was received from the vicinity of East Industrial.  Officers found no one in distress.

7:38 a.m.: some equipment was stolen from a commercial vehicle parked on Park Road.

1:08 p.m.:  A woman on Rankin reported her boyfriend stole some money.  She declined to press charges.

1:48 p.m.: A purse was stolen in the vicinity of Bayview.

2:18 p.m.: A business on West Channel Road reported someone ordered some equipment in a fraudulent transaction.  Officers were able to pick up the person making the transaction later in the day.

4:54 p.m.: Police received reports of kids throwing rocks at cars driving on Chelsea Hills.

7:10 p.m.: A resident on East I Street called to report a neighbor was banging on the walls and causing some upset.  Officers spoke to the neighbor.

9:17 p.m.: Police received a report of a truck and trailer taking up many parking spaces on Vecino. 

10:40 p.m.: Some kids were yelling and screaming in the vicinity of West H Street.  Those kids were gone when officers arrived to investigate.

11:12 p.m.: Police opened a missing person investigation.  A juvenile went missing.

11:27 p.m.: A man was spotted on East E Street looking into cars.  Responding officers were unable to find the man after an extensive search.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
