Benicia Police Log: Suspicious Jogger, Suspicious Car and a TV Too Loud

1:02 a.m.: Police received a complaint about noise coming from a residence on Southampton Road.  The contacted the occupant of the noisy residence who agreed to turn down the volume on the television.

1:18 a.m.: Officers responded to a burglar alarm activation at a business on California and found nothing amiss.

1:20 a.m.: Officers received a report of a car parked on London with the lights on and someone inside.  The car was gone when officers arrived to investigate.

1:24 a.m.:  A resident on Bradford reported hearing someone rattling a fence.  Investigating officers didn’t discover any fence rattlers.

2:04 a.m.: A citizen on East O Street requested an officer call and possibly advise the resident regarding a civil issue.

8:23 a.m.: Two transients were given a warning about sleeping in city parks.

11:08 a.m.: An officer dispensed advice to a resident on Rose Drive regarding an altercation.

2:07 pm.: A citizen requested that officers document an altercation between a landlord and a tenant.

3:22 p.m.: Police began an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on Panorama Drive.

8:12 p.m.: Police received multiple calls from a man on West Ninth Street who seemed to be in some distress. It turned out that a boy and his friends were goofing around.

8:42 p.m.: Police began an investigation into why two children were left unattended in a car on Bayshore Road.

10:47 p.m.: A resident on Riverview reported an unfamiliar man in the area.  Investigating officers found the man and determined he was out for a late night jog.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
