Benicia Police Log: Suspicious Kids, Malfunctioning Alarms and Vandalism on West I Street

The following information was supplied by the Benicia Police Department, and unless otherwise noted, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

This is the crime bulletin for Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from the Benicia Police Department

12:42 a.m.: Police were unable to locate the men who were reportedly knocking on the door and windows of a First Street residence.

2:37 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Military West business.

3:22 a.m.: A citizen reported a verbal altercation on East I Street.  Officers dispatched to the scene found no altercations nor people.

8:22 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Addison.

9:21 a.m.: A citizen requested an officer to conduct a security check.

9:27 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into a theft that occurred on West Channel Road.

10:43 a.m.: Officers issued a warning to a person whose dog was off leash on East Second Street.

11:25 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into some vandalism that occurred on West I Street.

12:12 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a residence on Camden.

1:59 p.m.:  Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an East Sixth Street residence.

2:19 p.m.: Those unwanted customers who were reported at a Goodyear Road business were gone before officers arrived on the scene.

2:25 p.m.: Officers issued a report on a non-injury traffic collision that occurred on Lindo.

3:04 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into ta burglary that occurred on East H Street.

3:44 p.m.: A citizen on Greenbrier requested police assistance.

3:51 p.m.: The suspicious person reported on Southampton Road was gone when officers arrived.

10:15 p.m.: Police received a report of three people exiting a vehicle on East Seventh Street and carrying a fourth person.  Investigating officers found three juveniles who denied carrying anyone out of a car.  Officers notified the parents of all three kids.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
