Benicia Police Log: Unlicensed Solicitors and Indecent Exposure

1:26 p.m.: Police began an investigation into a case of a person missing from an East L Street address.

3:52 p.m.: A 28-year-old Walnut Creek man was arrested on Military West for indecent exposure and a probation violation.

5:39 p.m.: A solicitor working on Wainwright was informed by officers that he needed a solicitor’s license.

5:50 p.m.: Officers checked on a house on Gill where a door had been left open and neighbors were unable to reach the home’s owner.

6:00 p.m.: A dog was barking for many hours at a residence on West Second Street.  Officers spoke to the dog’s people.

6:43 p.m.: A resident on Columbia requested to speak to an officer regarding a civil issue.

9:25 p.m.: Police received a report of a female trying to sell tutoring services to residents on Kearney.  The woman was gone from the area when officers arrived.

10:59 p.m.: Police received a report of a possible drunk driver speeding through neighborhoods in the vicinity of East L Street.  The driver sped away before officers arrived on the scene.

11:22 p.m.: Police received a report of loud metal work being done on Jackson Street.  Investigating officers found no loud metal work being done in the course of normal working activities.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
