Benicia Police Log: Woman Arrested for Burglary and Child Endangerment on Southampton Road

2:34 p.m.: A resident on Windsor thought it strange that the front porch light was on at a house that was empty.  Officers looked and found nothing amiss.

2:44 p.m.: Police received a report of a basketball hoop laying in the street on Larkin.  The roadway was clear when officers arrived to investigate.

3:40 p.m.: A caller reported a group of kids on Southampton announcing they were about to get into a fight.  The kids were gone when officers arrived.

4:11 p.m.: A 35-year-old Benicia woman was arrested in the vicinity of Southampton Road for burglary and child endangerment.

4:51 p.m.: Officers searched for, but were unable to find a car that was driving recklessly on Rose Drive.

6:10 p.m.: Police opened an investigation into a case of credit card fraud that occurred on Military East.

6:57 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an East Industrial Way business.

7:06 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an East Industrial Way business.

9:22 p.m.: Police received a report about a driver on Chelsea Hills who was either drink or lost.  The driver found his way out of the area before officers arrived.

11:30 p.m.: Police issued a case number for a repossession on West J Street.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
